Privacy Policy
Last updated: September 14, 2026
Savvyy is a personal address book with an assistant. You connect the accounts where your relationships already live, and Savvyy keeps the people, the notes, the correspondence and the follow-ups in one place. To do that it needs access to information about you and about the people you know. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, where it goes, how long we keep it, and how you can see it, take it with you or delete it.
It covers the Savvyy website (savvyy.com), the Savvyy web app (app.savvyy.com), the Savvyy apps for iPhone and Android, and email you send to a Savvyy address. The service is operated by Savvyy LLC, 26895 Aliso Creek Rd, Suite B-1011, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656. Questions about this policy go to help@savvyy.com.
Three things to know before the detail:
We never sell your information, and we never share it with advertisers or data brokers.
What you keep in Savvyy is yours. You can export it or delete it at any time.
Your information is used to run Savvyy for you, to bill and support you, and to keep the service secure and improving.
Information you give us
Your account. Your name, email address and password. If you sign in with Google, Apple or LinkedIn instead, we receive your name, email address and profile picture from that provider. You can add a phone number, and we record your time zone so reminders arrive at the right hour.
Your address book and notes. The contacts you add or import (from a spreadsheet, a LinkedIn data export, or your phone), your notes and follow-ups, the companies and jobs you track, the files you attach, and the messages you write in Savvyy.
Email you send to Savvyy. If you email a note or a task to your Savvyy address, we keep the message and turn it into the item you asked for.
Support. Anything you send to help@savvyy.com.
Information from accounts you connect
Savvyy can connect to your Google account, your Microsoft account, and the contacts on your phone. Each connection is optional and you approve it yourself. Google is described in full in the next section because it is the connection most people use; Microsoft and phone contacts follow it.
Google user data
When you connect a Google account, Google shows you each permission Savvyy asks for and lets you approve or refuse it. Here is every permission we request, what it reaches, what we keep, and what it is for.
Basic profile (name, email address, profile photo). Used to sign you in and to label the connected account in Settings.
Contacts, read only. We read your Google contacts: names, email addresses, phone numbers, organizations and job titles, postal addresses, birthdays, photos, web addresses and the notes field. They become entries in your Savvyy address book and stay in sync as you change them in Google. The sync is one way. Savvyy never adds, changes or deletes anything in your Google contacts.
Gmail, read. About every fifteen minutes, Savvyy checks your inbox and your sent mail for messages that arrived since the last check. It keeps a message only if it was exchanged with someone in your Savvyy address book, or if it comes from a newsletter sender you have chosen to follow. Every other message is discarded and never stored. For a kept message we store the subject, the body, the headers, the sender and recipients, the date, the conversation it belongs to, any attachments, and the original message file. This is what builds the correspondence history you see for each contact, and it is what the assistant reads when it suggests a follow-up or drafts a reply.
Gmail, send. Savvyy sends email through your Gmail account when you press send in Savvyy, from your own address. It never sends anything you did not write or approve. A copy of each sent message is kept with the contact.
Calendar. Savvyy reads your calendar to show the meetings you have had, or have coming up, with a contact. It creates an event when you schedule one from inside Savvyy. It does not change or delete events it did not create.
Google Drive, read only. When you open the documents view for a contact, Savvyy searches your Google Docs for that person's name, email address or company and imports the matching documents as notes on the contact. Only documents that match are read. Savvyy never edits, moves or deletes anything in your Drive.
What we will not do with Google data
Savvyy's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. In practice that means:
We use Google data only to provide and improve the features described above, which you can see and use in the app.
We do not sell it, and we do not transfer it to advertisers, data brokers or information resellers.
We do not use it for advertising of any kind, for credit or lending decisions, or to build databases unrelated to your own account.
Savvyy does not use Google Workspace APIs to develop, improve, or train non-personalized AI and/or ML models. The assistant processes your data only to produce results shown to you, and none of it is used to train a model.
No person at Savvyy reads your Google data. All processing is automated. The only exceptions are when you ask us for help with a specific problem and agree to us looking, when we must investigate abuse or a security incident, when the law requires it, or when the data has been aggregated and anonymized for internal operations.
Disconnect Google
You can disconnect Google at any time from Settings. Savvyy tells Google to revoke its access and stops syncing. You can also remove Savvyy from the third-party access page of your Google Account. Contacts and messages already imported stay in your Savvyy address book until you delete them or delete your account.
Microsoft, phone and LinkedIn
Microsoft (Outlook). If you connect a Microsoft account, Savvyy asks to read your mail and send mail you write, to read and update your contacts, and to read your calendar and create events. Mail is checked and kept under the same rules as Gmail above: only messages exchanged with people in your address book, or from newsletter senders you follow, are stored.
Phone contacts. The iPhone and Android apps can import the contacts on your phone into your address book. This is off until you turn it on, and your phone asks for permission first.
LinkedIn. Signing in with LinkedIn gives us your name, email address and profile picture. You can also upload the data export LinkedIn provides; we import the connections and messages it contains.
Information collected automatically
In the web and mobile apps. Cookies and tokens needed to keep you signed in and to protect your session. The apps run no third-party analytics or tracking.
On the marketing site (savvyy.com). Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and the Tawk.to chat widget. They set cookies and record the pages you visit, how you got there, your device and browser, and how you move around a page. If you sign up, the page you arrived on is saved with your account so we know which page brought you.
Server logs. Your IP address, browser type, the request made and the time, kept for security and troubleshooting.
Payments. Stripe on the web, the App Store on iPhone and Google Play on Android handle your payment details. We store a customer reference and your subscription status, never a card number.
How we use information
To run the service: your address book, correspondence history, notes, reminders, and the assistant's suggestions and drafts.
To send you the email you asked for: the diary, reminders, the summary, and calendar invitations for tasks with a due date. Each has its own switch in Settings.
To bill you, answer support requests, and tell you about changes to the service.
To keep the service secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
To understand how the service is used, in aggregate.
We do not use your information for advertising, and we never sell it.
The assistant
Savvyy's assistant runs on Anthropic's Claude models through Amazon Bedrock, a service of Amazon Web Services. When you use a feature that needs it, we send the content required for that task: a contact's details and your notes about them, the messages between you, or the draft you are writing. The result is shown to you in the app. Amazon Bedrock does not give the model's maker access to what we send or to what comes back. We keep a record of each request and its response so we can find and fix problems; that record is deleted with your account. Savvyy does not use your data to train AI models.
When the assistant looks for news about a contact, it forms two or three short search phrases about the person's company, industry or the topics you discuss, and sends only those phrases to Newsdata.io, a news search service. Your notes and emails themselves are never sent there.
Who we share information with
We share information only with companies that process it on our behalf, under contract, and only for the purposes in this policy:
Amazon Web Services stores files, attachments and message copies, and runs the assistant's AI models.
Newsdata.io receives the news search phrases described above.
Google and Microsoft receive the messages you send and the events you create through your connected account.
Stripe, Apple and Google Play process payments.
Google Analytics, Microsoft Clarity and Tawk.to run on the marketing site only, as described above.
We also disclose information when the law requires it (a subpoena, a court order or a lawful request from a public authority), when it is necessary to protect the rights, property or safety of Savvyy, its users or the public, or when you ask us to. If Savvyy is acquired or merges with another company, your information may pass to the new owner. We will tell you before that happens and before your information becomes subject to a different policy.
Nobody else receives your information. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with advertisers or data brokers.
How long we keep information
While your account is open, we keep your information so the service works.
When you disconnect Google or Microsoft, syncing stops and the connection is revoked. Contacts and messages already imported stay until you delete them.
When you delete your account, your contacts, companies, notes, correspondence, follow-ups, links and files are deleted immediately and the account is closed. Copies of synced messages, connection tokens and the assistant's request records are deleted within 30 days.
Backups of our database are overwritten on a five-day cycle, so deleted information leaves our backups within five days.
Server logs are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
We keep information longer only when the law requires it, to resolve a dispute, or to enforce our agreements.
Your choices
See and change anything you have stored, in the app.
Export your companies, jobs, notes, links, contacts and correspondence as a spreadsheet from the web app.
Disconnect Google or Microsoft from Settings, or from your Google or Microsoft account's permissions page.
Turn off the diary, reminder and summary emails in Settings.
Delete your account from Settings in the web app or from the Account screen in the mobile app. Or email help@savvyy.com and we will do it for you.
If you live in California, you have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to have it deleted, and to opt out of its sale. We do not sell personal information. To exercise these rights, email help@savvyy.com. We will not treat you differently for doing so.
Security
Everything between your device and Savvyy travels over an encrypted connection. Passwords are stored hashed, never in the clear. Two-step verification is available in Settings. Access to the systems that hold your information is limited to the people who need it to run the service. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you believe your account has been compromised, write to help@savvyy.com.
Children
Savvyy is not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, write to help@savvyy.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we post the new version here and update the date at the top. If a change is material, we will also tell you by email or with a notice in the app before it takes effect.
